Notes
A Child’s first eye examination is recommended by the age of 3, by the Canadian Association of Optometrists. Within the Sea to Sky Corridor, children attending early learning programs and drop-in programs will be screened at age 3. Certain eye problems need to be caught early (before school age) top get the best out-come. For more information or to ensure that your preschooler attends a screening event in your community, please contact your local Public Health Nurse or local optometrist.
Annual eye exams are covered under BC Medical for anyone under 19years of age. Contact your local optometrist to book an appointment.
