S.P.A.R.K. – “Supporting Parents Along the Road to Kindergarten”

Beginning from the birth of their child, parents and caregivers can attend a 90-minute SPARK class once every fall, winter and spring until the child enters Kindergarten.

In SPARK, we reflect on how children learn and grow. At each SPARK class, participants receive important strategies, ideas and knowledge about child development, as well as, free handouts and TOYS designed to support learning at each age and stage. SPARK is not a playgroup so child involvement is not part of these parent information sessions.

Parents and child care providers can also register for the Dolly Parton Imagination Library at SPARK, which mails a FREE, age-appropriate book to their children every month until their fifth birthday.

The SPARK program is founded on a philosophy that learning happens naturally, through the experiences, relationships and joy that families and caregivers share with their children.  SPARK is based on the British Columbia Ministry of Education’s Early Learning Framework. We enjoy the opportunity to gather together with others who have children the same age to exchange ideas and celebrate learning and growth.
